6 Months Working With - The British Blanket Company.

It all starts with strategy.

When I first started working with The British Blanket Company, they already had a strong social presence - beautiful photography, a clear brand voice, and a loyal customer base.

But it was easy to spot the missing ingredient: lo-fi content that connects authentically

We needed to balance the polished product shots with behind-the-scenes moments, founder-led storytelling, and real-life settings that make you want to curl up under one of their blankets immediately.

The Solution? Monthly shoots.

Not just with the products, but with the founders and the team.

Not just in a studio, but in real homes, styled in a way that feels attainable and cosy.

We’ve brought a founder-led touch to collection launches, mixing the slick professional shots with personal videos and moments that bring customers closer to the people behind the brand.

So what do I deliver each month?

  • Posting multiple times a week across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook

  • Creating content from an existing bank of photography and video

  • Shooting new content monthly - either using the product myself or working with the founders

  • Producing ad-specific content for Meta and Google Ads

  • Working closely with the founders and other agencies to ensure all marketing messaging aligns

  • Partnering with brands for collaborative giveaways and managing UGC gifting

My personal learnings

If there’s one thing this partnership has taught me, it’s the power of adaptability.

Every month we test, we learn, we see what lands, and we pivot.

Sometimes a video we almost didn’t post becomes a best performer.

Sometimes we try something new, it flops, and we tweak the strategy.

Flexibility is everything.

My Favourite Shoots

There is no better feeling than being away from your desk and shooting content, especially when the founders are ready to get stuck in and creative!

Spring Picnic Blankets

Heading to the gorgeous Ashton Court with a photographer on stills, Bethan (founder on styling) and me on lofi video.

This one day gave us spring and summer content for the whole season across Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok.

Snowdonia in Random Recycled Blankets

When a client trusts you to capture content on the go, whether it’s a family trip to Snowdonia or your commute to the office, that’s where the magic happens.

It’s in those unplanned moments that creativity thrives and authentic, creator-led content shines.

This sunset in Snowdonia, my family wrapped in recycled wool blankets, is living proof.
